Sunday is often that children and parents playing together. Thus was born the series entitled Les photos du dimanche. These images reveal the innocence of the mystery play and attitudes of children and also carry a dizzying abyss setting of nature, life, and sometimes even death. In these photographs we discern a strangeness tinged with absurdity: we are "elsewhere", perhaps because of clothing or costume elements used to make a girl becomes a princess or a fairy, a fish a rod , rocks a treasure … Isabelle Vaillant looks at his subjects, his models, with a joyful complicity. They are creators of the stage of their images and their body as well as the artist, then they abandon themselves to the photographer, in full confidence.
