Planche(s) Contact, a festival of photographic creation, celebrates its sixth birthday and its seventh edition. Children generally start to attend primary school when they are six. The same amount of time has been necessary to make this event assert itself as a unique and creative appointment, a major festival in the panorama of national photographic events.
A festival of residences and creation The City of Deauville has created the Planche(s) Contact photographic festival to prioritize residences focused on creation and the exhibition of public orders as well as setting
up a photographic fund. Year after year, the festival arouses and associates the crossed perspectives of renowned photographers and students attending the major European photography schools over the city and its multiple facets.

A festival open to foreign people and to photographic writing Every year, a large share of orders highlights the value of international photography. This year Joakim Eskildsen (Denmark) and Paolo Verzone (Italy) will replace: Massimo Vitali, Kishin Shinoyama, Gunnar Smoliansky, Harry Gruyaert, Kourtney Roy …all photographers invited to the previous editions. These crossed perspectives over the City of Deauville, these different photographic writings contribute
to the originality and wealth of the Planche(s) Contact Festival.
