"The city has mutated, but not our representations and practices. Can we continue to call "perished" road (referring to the city center) which is actually just the contemporary city: the network is auto continuities, subdivisions, energy connections, water supply and food, hub airports, areas, parks and leisure.
The photographer was right: it is only at this level, observing the city from the center to its limits, we can properly analyze the spectrum of interactions with soil, vegetation, biosphere. Leaving the city center, trace its path, wander these areas by querying the quality of the relationship between the given natural and human occupation, it is already an invitation to think, to practice, to build the city otherwise.
