1418. Échos, versos & graphies de batailles, falls to the Department of Seine Saint Denis, under a subcontract to Poncin for artistic creation white card linked to the national commemoration of the centenary of the WWI.
It is from a body of two hundred postcards consisting of the Departmental Archives réceptionnées or sent twenty-six towns of the department between 1914 and 1918, Catherine Poncin develops his concept intrinsically linked to the archive.
Reliant past / present, individual / collective histories, heritage; it develops from postcards, photographs of findings of war damage, the newspaper publishing the illustration, photographic creations, text posters and sound creations.
From the front sides, it fragments, associates, encendre; the backs, it analyzes the letters and inks, drawing phrases, vocabulary related to the life of the front. Land battles are flesh, in Poncin exhume the bodies, leads them to cross the century
